Obama's Eloguence: What Makes Him A Great Orator?

What would Obama say?
A: he speaks with great eloquence on almost any subject. He seems to be great at thinking on his feet and coming up with coherent ideas. Witness the debates during the primaries. His opponents sounded stilted, reciting their canned lines. He sounded great.
Let me make it clear that I admire Obama and and going to vote for him. However, I have his book THE AUDACITY OF HOPE, and I just cannot read it. That is because it is so darn eloquent. It's just like reading a long speech. I have to put it down every few pages. Then I pick it up and try again, but it is the same thing. This guy would be eloquent if he was talking about picking his nose.
All this eloquence makes John McCain's comments sound like the spontaneous mutterings of a cranky old man who just woke up from a nap. Of course, even Paris Hilton sounds coherent in comparison to John McCain.
