My question is...

by Neeraj Dadlani
(Chennai, India)

Q. Hi, This is Neeraj. I am sick of stammering and stuttering, even say my name. Please help!

A. Neeraj, this is a rather common problem, even for many professional speakers! However, the answer is not at all complicated. Practice, practice, practice! Stand in front of a mirror and pay attention to your facial expressions. Be certain to form your words carefully and enunciate. An additional aid to this is practice speaking with a few marbles in your mouth, or hold a pencil between your teeth. This will force you to really pay attention to your words. As you master this in private, you will become more adept in public. I hope this helped, and happy speaking!
