Public Speaking Clip Art

A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words

public speaking clip art, pic by Mario Alberto Magallanes Trejo

Relevant pictures engage the audience, light up the eyes, and focus the minds.

Public speaking clip art can enhance your presentation whether you're preparing a traditional poster board or a cutting-edge PowerPoint.

Do you have a great public speaking photo (of you or anyone else)? Show us! Tell the story of the photo to make it meaningful. Once you've submitted your own photo, see and comment on photos other people have submitted.

Back to clip art tips. Below are a couple of points to remember as you put together your visual aids.

  • You are the focus. Not the pictures. Be certain that the pictures contribute to your presentation rather than your presentation contributing to the pictures.

  • For top quality, use paid clip art resources. Don't restrict yourself to the images that come with your computer software. Check out these websites for the best clip art that the web has to offer.

  • Don't overlook free clipart resources. If you don't have the money for paid clip art resources, check out these free sites. The quality is a bit lower and the interfaces aren't as good, but they're free!
  • Use clear, powerful background images. If you have text, set it against a background image. Try to make the background image relevant, either to your subject or to the emotion you are trying to convey. Keep the text minimal, however - your audience should be listening to you, not reading your slides.
  • Humor is a plus. A funny image properly timed can counter monotony.
